They don't have equipment yet, they need an equipment manager? And they're going to buy a whole bunch of video equipment I guess, right? Still no schedule, by the way.

I will believe that Woods' brother, who is the Omaha GM has a license for HUDL software from his previous JuCo gig and he is just bootlegging it. Camcorders are still inexpensive to come by (and easy to pawn, too). However, I am not too sure if they have money to rent 4 scissor lifts from United Rentals for two months.

32 days to kickoff. No schedule.
Boston will be on NESN, though. Hopefully they don't use the same dolts who did the Colonials' games in the UFL.

It is to the point that they will have to wait until Tuesday at the earliest before the "draft" players. On Sports Center this morning, Bill Polian talked about how GMs plan for week 2 injury wise and that there already is a list of available free agents eligible and contacting their agents starts on Monday. Still no ticket sales available too.

But, wait....Woods said he's been "inundated" with calls and emails from NFL players and their agents! You mean they're not holding out hope they'll go back to their NFL teams after someone gets hurt Sunday? They're INUNDATING him now?

Well, as for a schedule, the word on the streets (aka the corner of eomahaforums.com and the interwebs) is that Omaha tickets will go on sale Wednesday and their schedule will be... Oct. 8 vs. Boston Oct. 15. vs. Florida Oct. 24 @ Brooklyn Oct. 29 @ Florida Nov. 5 vs. Boston Nov. 12 vs. Brooklyn So a team, most likely Boston, lost a home game, but I wouldn't be shocked if Florida lost one too because they are playing on a college campus too and the school will take up too much of their needed revenue. No ticket prices as of my post.

No ticket prices as of my post. That's what was in the Omaha paper. I presumed the two Boston games listed as home games was a typo and that one of them would be in Boston. But if Boston only has two home games, and I would be shocked if NESN went and traveled and staffed their road games, that big TV deal is not a real big deal. Woods has announced the first week's schedule, which is nice. But this guy is rapidly turning into a huckster. Besides saying he's been "inundated" with contacts from NFL players and their agents, now he made this pronouncement: I have to call him out on this. It CAN'T be NFL caliber because you will have players that have been adjudged as not NFL caliber players. You cannot, by definition, have NFL caliber play without NFL caliber players. There is no other definition. And we still have yet to see how many actual NFL camp cuts they will have (I'm going to guess it won't be the 90-95% he claims).

Everything about this reminds of this clip:
Skip to 16:06 for my opinion on these "leagues".

Listen to Anthony's comments after 18:10
"Nobody wanted to watch horrible football"
Exactly. Either these leagues have the capital to compete with the NFL for premium talent, or they fail. No amount of gimmicks, "community ownership", or "alternative media presence" is going to compensate for substandard product.
