Six weeks later the whole thing collapsed.
They probably spent more on that vinyl banner than everything else combined.
Looking back, between the Visa sales attempt, this sparsely attended PC, recruiting "Brandi" etc. it's hard to believe they lasted as long as they did.

Paying the the hotel conference room was the biggest expense that day since they were forced for overpriced catering. I had to go back to Facebook to see that their "time out" was six weeks later. Wow.

Wow. At least the A11 didn't hold tryouts at $250 a pop and then not pay their players like the FXFL. That's the only compliment I can give Humphries & co.

But they wanted $30 for a deposit on Showcase Games which were never played. And as for Scott McKibben, he seems to have "failed up" to a degree as he is in line to be named Executive Director for the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Authority, and will run the negotiations with the Raiders and A's. But his last 24 months as an executive really hasn't gone well at all. www.contracostatimes.com/breaking-news/ci_27429367/oakland-coliseum-board-settles-former-rose-bowl-ceo

Jesus, talk about failing upwards. How did Humphries & co. convince Mckibben to take the mic during that press conference and make a complete ass out of himself? He seems to have his sh#t together, what the hell did he see in the A11 that no one else did?
