Someone else brought this up awhile back. The MLFB (Major League Football) plans to play in 2016. They say they will be known as the "Fastest Game on Turf". Visit their website to read and delve into all of their gloriousness (sarcasm, obviously). However watching the two videos, it does seem as if they do at least have a solid staff, and some pretty motivated people, too. I'm not gonna go and make assumptions just yet, but this league already seems better than the A11FL (Hell, a toddler could make a block-building with a better foundation...) - comment, let's start a conversation.

I don't have much of anything about this MLFB but I do have a couple of things that might be worth noting. First, about some of the management team...it's president, Wes Chandler, is gonna be inducted into the 2015 College Football Hall of Fame and he was a head coach of the Berlin Thunder in the old NFL Europe, so he does have some developmental experience. Speaking of NFL Europe, Jerry Vainisi headed up football operations for the old WLAF. Second, the league's acronym, MLFB. Does anybody really think that Major League Baseball might take some umbrage over the acronym sounding way too confusingly close to it's MLB trademark. Yeah, I know it's about a different sport altogether but lawyers and higher-ups do tend to get touchy around potential trademark and public relation infringements to their business interests. At this point, I don't really see this as more than another spring league football startup that will more likely resemble Stars Football League or Rivals PFL than the old USFL or even the failed UFL

Really, back to your Wishing Well? How "solid" of a staff do you have if you cannot raise any money? They are just household names of former NFLers to the older football fan. MLFB is a publicly traded company. Today in trading, their stock price is $0.84. Yes, 84 cents! And look at their financials and you will see that they have just $1,000 of cash on hand and over 90 times more expenses than income.

Even the USFL knows you have to start little and build on that and then build on that and start over then build from that and start over again. At least people know how much they have.

Has anybody checked out the new start up league called "The League".Go to the F.B. page and check it out.It is unbelievable. This league is supposed to start this fall.It is supposed to be owned by the fans and it's supposed to blow away the NFL.The page is run by Brandi I think. She talks about everything but football. It almost sounds like a political page. She wants this league to be all over the world.I can't beleive I didn't see anything about it on this page.Unless you checked it out and thought it was bullcrap, like I do.I haven't been on your page for awhile,so here are some thoughts about some of the leagues you've been talking about.I think the NAFL is a load of shit.I think it is exactly like the NSFL.The MLFB league,I think has the right idea.I posted a bunch of questions on there site. The one I liked the most was. They want to be a bigtime football league instead of a developemental league.I think a league like that has a better chance of working then a D-league.I mean lets face it,we'd all love to see a league like the old USFL was instead of a D-league. I just don't know where the money will come from.Any thoughts about anything I've written.

So this is still happening, having a draft, a two year (!) TV deal, but still no cities announced!? Two year TV deal with 4 expansion teams next year...oh how great it must feel to be stupidly optimistic. When will these leagues ever learn??? The UFL couldn't even stay afloat with 4 teams, and these new guys expect to have 12??? Wow.

Yeah, I know it's about a different sport altogether but lawyers and higher-ups do tend to get touchy around potential trademark and public relation infringements to their business interests. 1) It's not an acronym unless it spells a pronounceable word. "NASA" is an acronym. "FUBAR" is an acronym. "MLFB" is just an abbreviation. 2 ) No, it's not confusing, unless you think Major League Soccer, Major League Lacrosse and the late, lamented Major League Volleyball were in danger of being confused in the marketplace for a baseball league.
