Don't know if true, but.... "Several solid players are getting a shot in the @fxfl. Brooklyn signed both Kevin Fogg #Dolphins and Jordan Love #Colts, Thats two solid DBs"To which the FXFL Twitter (now renamed @fxfl from @gofxfl, not that they've made the change on their website link or anything) replied: "You got that right, Damond. There is exceptional talent coming to the #FXFL"How, exactly, are two small-college (Fogg from Liberty, Love from Towson), undrafted, free agent cornerbacks "two solid DBs." Based on what? These are guys basically off the street, not "exceptional talent." They were not deemed "exceptional" enough to get drafted, nor were they deemed "exceptional" enough to be signed to anyone's practice squad where they would make $6,300 a week. Instead, they're going to attempt to play for $1,000 a week on Wednesday nights in this league. This is what this league is. A place for guys who aren't good enough, most of whom won't be.

Phil, who did you expect they would be signing? Fogg exactly fits who they said they wanted, someone who was signed to an NFL team but didn't make the cut. Most never will make the NFL again, but a few might.

Are you actually this dumb, this myopic, this big a fanboy, or are you just trolling?

Most never will make the NFL again, but a few might. I was told "NFL caliber product." These guys.... Did not go to FBS schools. Were not drafted. Were camp fodder. Were not kept. Were not signed to a practice squad. They're not NFL caliber. By definition. They're minor-league caliber, which is fine. But Brian Woods is acting as if they're going to have an amazing product. Not with guys who were average kickoff/punt returners at small schools or who got suspended on the eve of the national championship game for breaking team rules. Not even second-best. Third best. Which, again, fine. This is a minor league. But please don't try to tell me this is going to be "exceptional" football we're going to see. Or that going 20-5 as a two-year starter in the Big 10 is like playing at Towson. Please.

It doesn't matter. Many players come from big schools and end up going completely unheard of. Like Tom Savage. Who? That's right, you've never heard of him.

And added to that, Brady was still taken in the 6th round and added to the practice squad. So had Brady taken the "your not good enough" excuse, who knows where he would've been now.

I don't know what you want. If these players were NFL caliber they'd be on a roster right now. The point is to 1, discover hidden gems, aod 2, develop gems.

Tom Brady actually made an NFL roster from the start (not the practice squad, the roster), these guys failed to do that. Plus, there is the "little" issue of Mo Lewis filling up Drew Bledsoe's lungs with blood as the starting point for Brady's career.

It is not what he wants, it is what has been promised. Do you think those "signings" are worth at $25-35 ticket on a Wednesday night? Not to me, but it is for the market to decide.
