Anyone know any good alternative or mashup sports? For me it's all about Kronum, a mix of handball, soccer and basketball. www.kronum.com

I've always wondered about this. You know with all the head butting going on between NBC, CBS,FOX, and ABC you'd wonder why one of them wouldn't create a twist of a sport and just give an air to see if it blows up. I follow Ultimate (football played with frisbees pretty much). But then again, one main reason why a TV network might not have thought to done this might be because of the XFL, which was practically all NBC.

I'd like soccer more if it was played on an AFL size field. That would definitely improve scoring. As it is it's too slow for me.
I also have ideas for making a trash can basketball league, like 2 on 2 or something with some basketball style game play.

TV networks are notoriously risk-averse. Pretty much all the sports that could be invented (and do anything) have been invented. Those cyborg/trash sports are never going to be worth the effort.

I LOVE KRONUM! I watch it since season 4 and I think is a really awesome sport. Recommend the people who are thinking "WTF? Why will I want to watch this?" to read this really good article (http://whatculture.com/sport/5-reasons-watch-kronum-even-though-youve-never-heard.php) with 5 reasons to watch Kronum. Alternative sport suggestion: Basketball + Football + Hockey = SLAMBALL! Slamball is a really awesome sport that is getting really popular worldwide. You can watch old games at www.youtube.com/user/slamball and the new season/torunament in China at www.slamball.asia/videolist.asp?subnum=4 (the ones with title in english have english commentaries).

I think Slamball will become big and come back to TV. It has become huge worldwide, China has their own pro league and some countries are waiting to get Slamball. The MSAA (Multinational Slamball Athelic Association) was create and they're looking to expande to other places. Other thing that will happen is the come back of Slamball to US with a league and teams established in Las Vegas, they recently started a Kickstarter campaign () that was cancelled later because they needed to make some things before lauching it. I can say to you that Slamball will come back better than ever!
I didn't know about Skyball and I'm not american so... I don't have FOX Sports.

The Major Arena Soccer League has 23 teams, they will be lucky to have 12 next season, if there is one. The only TV deal they have is ESPN3.

Yea I discovered indoor soccer recently. I missed out on the L.A. Lazers in the 80's.
I also thought of paper baseball: baseball in a gym or something. Paper ball, cardboard tube for a bat. The ball would have to be taped for strength and weight. It's hard to pitch a paper ball, but it takes practice to get it right, I've done it.
