This coming week, if the fxfl is true to their word we should start seeing player aquisitions right? NFL teams have to be at 75 by tuesday at 4, and the fxfl has claimed its those players they're looking for.

It's unlikely that players will walk off after being cut by the NFL team they're with on Tuesday and become FXFL players on Wednesday.
They're not supposed to report until September 24, two weeks before the first game. They haven't been "allocated" yet. And most of them would likely wait until they see if they make the (newly expanded) practice squads.
So, no, this week you should not see FXFL player acquisitions.

One would think (although I've seen weirder things) that the teams would not have players until they have a coach or coaches. That I believe they did promise for this week. We'll see.

Certainly, coaches have to happen at some point here. How many brothers does Woods have?

Wasn't the schedule supposed to be out yesterday? I mean, last week, they said August 25 on their "snazzy new website".

Oh, you're right.
Now they say "soon."

Oh, you're right. Now they say "soon." Well they were two weeks late on other items too. From the Omaha World Herald on July 30 (and updated July 31)That merchandise was not available until this weekend. I guess he has had a hard time getting 50+ plane tickets or a plane charter to/from Omaha. As far as the latest ESPN.com story, I did like Woods' actual quote,"The Brooklyn team is kind of how I envision us going forward long term," Woods said. "We partner with a minor league baseball team and utilize their existing marketing and infrastructure. They handle day-to-day business and we handle football operations." As of today, they is only one minor league team they are partnering with, two teams are playing on college campuses, and Tommie Harris is without a team. If he thinks he is like a MLB team who just lends out talent to the minors, and then the minor league team is to do all the administrative work, that hasn't worked out so well, has it? He is 1 for 6, since he spent all 2014 talking of six teams.

I'm starting to sense that you're skeptical about all this. The problem with partnering with a minor-league baseball team, especially a Short-Season A ball team, is that a good portion of its workforce (not all, but a good portion) is made up of interns WHO GO BACK TO COLLEGE BY THE TIME YOU'RE SELLING FOOTBALL GAMES. Some things Woods says actually happen, but it doesn't appear as though they actually happen anywhere near on schedule. Which is not totally surprising if you've ever tried to do this (there are a ton of moving parts), but they really seem to be in a situation where they are going to be foaming the runways and this first season is going to be very haphazard.

I would say at this point, a successful season would be if they can get out a schedule and end up playing all the games. Now of course investors may think otherwise.
However, if they put out a schedule, then start canceling games, they are done.

At this point, ANY league that puts a team on the field is more successful than any other league wanting to start a league.
