I'm starting to think that there's a battle going on for whose favorite league will launch first or at all. And since the A11FL not only fell flat on it's face and lied to its fans and failed before ever starting, their supporters are now coming after the USFL in hopes that it too fails since the A11 did. But I have news for those people. Unlike the poor leadership and scam artists that you were lied to by, the USFL has gone about it in as a professional manner as possible. They did NOT jump the gun and announce teams, cities and TV deals before even having a plan in place to raise the money like the A11 did.
The USFL has made it as clear as can be that THEY ARE IN A CURRENT FUNDRAISING PHASE AND WILL NOT, I REPEAT, WILL NOT LAUNCH THE LEAGUE NOR ADDRESS ANY CITIES UNTIL THEY HAVE ENOUGH CAPITAL IN THE BANK TO FINANCE THE LEAGUE FOR MORE THAN JUST A FEW YEARS BUT FOR SEVERAL. They have also stated that they are prepared to lose money in their first few years of operations while building the league for the long term.
All USFL and spring football fans can do, and I know it's very hard, is wait and let them do their job and build us a league that we can maybe talk about 10 years from now and look back at what an accomplishment it turned out to be despite all the road blocks and hurdles they had facing them to make it a reality.
And with the NFL now as serious as ever before about a true minor league system or developmental league, the odds are starting to show more in favor for the USFL to be successful than previously thought. So for the A11FL fans who are now bitter over their league folding before even launching, go cry us all a river somewhere else.

I get everything that is said over and over again. Every league says it. When does it become fund raising and turns in to just spinning your wheels? The USFL in its many formations has stated that they were going to start every year since 2009. Sure there have been 3 different owners in that span, but come on. You are telling us all that absolutely no capital exchanged hands in any of that time? You mean investors that were all in backed completely out only to return in good faith later? Some say the funding is coming in smoothly, yet in one year and several months we are no closer to the league starting then we were in 2009? In fact the USFL itself has stated that if the funds weren't there they would extend it another year or possibly get out all together. That is shady ground for any investor. I have been watching all of this since the AAFL. Every league since then have done nothing but give false hope. I'm over it now. I am done with this hope for a Spring league. The only spring league I'll ever see are these same fly by night groups that start the teams but the leagues fold after a couple of years because they all play in some high school field and don't make enough money to keep the lights on.

We absolutely are not spinning our wheels. We take what we are doing very seriously, and are moving along through a process that is getting us closer to our goal. We cannot speak for any of the previous USFL owners about why or how they did things, or what did or did not occur, and we do not have the time to dwell on it. Their actions did tarnish the USFL name, and we have been working diligently to repair the damage. There are no investors that were previously "all in" that have since returned. Raising capital rarely occurs easily or smoothly. It is a very difficult and time-consuming task. It can be emotionally and mentally draining, and it will require hours, days, weeks and months of non-stop work. There will be many ups and downs along the way, and investors can change their minds at the last minute. It is why we refuse to make any comments about our progress until we have completed everything, and all the funds are in hand. Again, we cannot speak for any of the other owners of the league, and how close they may actually have been to their stated start dates. However, in the time since we have taken over, we very much are closer to kicking off than we were when we started. Before we could even begin to raise money, we had to prepare a detailed business plan with very detailed financial analyses and projections. We had to put the legal structure in place. We had to put together the right team; a team that shares our vision for the league, and which has the experience and capabilities necessary for this type of undertaking. We have been on phone calls, emails, meetings, and traveling the country talking with prospective investors. It is not simply a matter of finding investors, it is also imperative we partner with the right investors. If we were only spinning wheels and not making progress then we would not be doing it; none of the individuals involved have the time or desire to simply spin wheels. Yes, the attempts to start leagues have been going on for quite some time, and to date have proven relatively fruitless, and also left a bad taste in many people's mouths. And many, like you, have lost faith and moved on. Unless and until we - or any other league - kick off that doubt will be there, and fans will continue enduring through spring without football. Meanwhile, we'll keep at it and continue progressing, and maybe one day after we kick off some of those fans who gave up will return. Your last sentence sums up exactly why all this is taking so long for us. We have developed a plan to launch a league that can deliver a high quality product, and which can endure for the long term. We are working through that plan, and while there are those who doubt it can happen, we are confident it will be done.

It is easy to see rcrimson from the great state of Alabama is completely starry eyed gaga over Dwyer and his cronies attempt at discrediting the USFL. Dwyer's many attempts since 2006 have met with complete failure every time. Dwyer has misled several upstanding individuals with proven track records in the past. There is one individual who worked with Dwyer in the past that is still working to get what is owed him and another party. Of course Dwyer is always right and everyone else is always wrong, so I will name a few names that Dwyer claims were wrong and he was always right. Richard Rubio, who currently works for the Atty Gen's ofc in Riverside, California was an early partner with Dwyer. Rubio wrote a detailed business plan for his LA Outlaw team in the USFL, Rubio along with Harold Carmichael, who was also working with Rubio, paid for all meals at the league meetings with Dwyer assuring them he would repay them. Dwyer ran off with the business plan without paying Rubio for it or for the meals. Dwyer claims Rubio was to be paid after the league was up and running, Rubio says otherwise as does Harold Carmichael( yes it is the same Harold Carmichael of NFL fame, WR with the Philadelphia Eagles). Rubio even said Dwyer showed up driving a broken windowed old Kia he claimed belonged to his ex wife. So now we get to Michael Keller, of the A11FL fame as of late. He was a partner of Dwyer's just before Cuadra came on the scene. Dwyer claims he fired Keller, Keller told me he left because Dwyer didn't know what the hell he was doing. At that time Keller had Tm'd 'USFL LLC', he has since let lapse in 2009 and moved on to other endeavors as we all know. So Dwyer claims Rubio is lying, that Carmichael is lying, that Keller is lying. Everyone is lying except Dwyer.... interesting that Dwyer is the common denominator here, and usually if there is constant failure and deceit the common denominator is the problem. There is a clinical name for a habitual liar. Has anyone seen Dwyers feeble trolling attmpts on Twitter trying to get sports and Hollywood stars, and others to invest in his league, it is hilarious. Names like Charlie Sheen, Snoop Dog, Jose Canseco ( Dwyer even asks Jose when is he coming by the Hustler in one tweet), Danica Patrick, etc and all this goes back years. He has no serious funding connections and could never get a sports league off the ground. But, somehow he always seems to attract those who will listen and believe, pretty sharp for a silver tongued pit boss at Larry Flynt's Hustler Club Casino (Yes the same Larry Flynt that owns the Hustler men's magazine). Is this really a guy that can run a football league? I think not.

All it comes down to is this. Everyone, that is Dwyer, USFL, A11FL, and whoever else is promising a league and doesn't deliver needs to be charged with fraud.

Also if anyone cares to do some research from 2012 on several separate interviews Dwyer did, he admits that the only thing he was getting when EndZone Sports took over his New USFL TM was a team in Los Angeles, nothing else. He never did any consulting work with the USFL, or anything else that had to do with the day to day operations. They did not need him, why would they when they had one of the great NFL minds advising them at the time, his name is Jim Steeg the father of the modern day Super Bowl and the former COO of the San Diego Chargers, who by the way still works with the USFL in a major advisory role. Also rcrimson, yes the vision Cuadra had for the USFL was individual team ownership, the contacts with the Akron, and Wichita Falls groups is proof of that. The Wichita Falls newspaper at the time even reported it as well as the paper in Akron etc.

All it comes down to is this. Everyone, that is Dwyer, USFL, A11FL, and whoever else is promising a league and doesn't deliver needs to be charged with fraud. Creating false hope is absolutely unfair. Before we took over the USFL, announcements had already been made, the starting of forming a fan base had already occurred, social media forums such as Facebook had already begun, and there was outreach to the media. If it had been us in control from the start, we would not have done any of this until we were ready to go, and no one would even know efforts were under way to resurrect the USFL name. It was a situation we inherited, and we've had to manage it as part of our daily business operations. All this is why we are so insistent on not making any announcements or claims until everything is in order.

I don't care about he said she said stuff. I only see what I see. If a company says we are going to open a store on a certain date and doesn't deliver, they have a credibility problem. If the company comes back and says we are under new management and promises a store on a new date and doesn't deliver, that is a really bad credibility problem. When the company comes back and promises another date a and talks about how great the people are behind the scenes of the new company and change the date of the store opening once more...well, did you ever hear the story of the kid who cried wolf. I don't believe any league until someone starts league play in March of 2015 on nationwide television. I will return in March and tune in to my television looking for this spring football league on any network. If they aren't there I will be screaming FRAUD to any and every league that moves their start date from here on out. Leagues take notice.

He was the first one to put everything on hold and when he couldn't handle it, he put the league on hold and ended up selling it to a more shifter guy than him. When the 2nd guy was caught embezzling, it was left to the people under him to continue. All I know is birds of a feather flock together. My whole point is Nothing has changed since day one. The people may have new names but things are still the same. We are told over and over about this great plan that nobody else has and how great it will work. We are told to be patient while they go through the collection phase. They would have done better to shut down their Web page, facebook, twitter and any other public Internet page and do everything in quiet and then when everything is ready, start all the talk. No it is one person blocking the curtain and trying to keep Oz a secret while talking about how great and powerful the man is. I'm not impressed with any of these leagues. Like Dominoes use to have the 30 minute guarantee, All the leagues now must start in 2015. So, here is the line in the sand. Which leagues will be playing and which ones will be considered frauds?
