The schedule makes zero sense to me
Akron and Chicago play 3 games, the other two teams play 5.
What really is odd is there are 4 preseason games. Who has more preseason games than season games?
Why did they just not make the season 7 games? Makes no sense to me....

My question would be why are there even preseason games for an alternative league???

I can't answer that those questions, but, we can add this to the mix. Both Chicago and Akron play all of their home games in the preseason. They are the teams playing only three regular season games. Maybe they wanted all Michigan regular season games to work with the TV deal, but wanted to give the other teams some home dates? With these small leagues, anything is possible.

It is certainly not a fan friendly league. I mean how is someone like me who doesn't live in Michigan supposed to see games?

You're not really in their market. The fact that they are on TV at all is fairly impressive. The SFL has been around for several years, but never pulled that off.

Well according to one interview Akron couldn't get home dates later in the season....so why not just make the preseason the actual season? Who is going to come to a preseason game when it means nothing?
