I didn't see since I don't have cable, but from what I hear it at least looked good. May have to check out a game after all.

I have to say I was impressed. Looked WAY better than semi-pro and saw some standout players. Jordan Jefferson was wonderful. Nice debut.

Attendance is the big question of the night, but I see it going up every game as opposed to down as in other leagues if the FXFL lets to product speak for itself it will be good enough.
I also want to commend the FXFL for interacting with fans on social media during the game there was definately a great online fanbase streaming yesterday.

I'm going to elaborate now that I've slept on it, woke up, had my coffee and am prepared to be a bit more articulate.
Outside or what I've previously state I think the FXFL did some goods things last night that made the on field product watchable. First the flow of the game was better then the current NFL structure, and by that I mean commercials and media time outs. While FXFL took most of the same commercial breaks as the NFL ( except I didn't notice any after punts of kick offs) I don't think they ran more than 90 second commercial breaks all night long, and that was especially key towards the end of the game where there were a few back to back three and outs. Also, the commentary was excellent and frequently touched on the philosophy of the league, as well as the reality for the players on the field.
There was also a moment where a player sustained a leg injury and had to be carted of the field, within seconds the benches were cleared as all the players came over to pray for, support, and wish well their injured comrade, the commentators did and excellent job explaining the harsh reality for the players, and the FXFL appears to have more than a sufficient amount of medical staff to properly deal with the situation. Whie it's unfortunate the injury took place I think it was a pretty profound moment that needed to happen for the FXFL on opening night, now more than ever the players know whats at stake and the fans better understand the full reality of what we're watching.
I enjoyed how the Mammoths split reps last night going quarter by quarter overall they we're with out a doubt the better prepared team last night. The Brawlers have all the pieces in place and I think we'll see a better team last week. I think they may have believed Tajh Boyd gave them an edge last night, but the few reps Clancy got last night, (came in with a little over six minutes left in the fourth) I think in the limited action he saw, he showed the greatest range of pro style throws (back shoulder, quick slants, and button hooks), I got the overwhelming impression Tajh was over compensating and really trying to dazzle and stat pad. The FXFL has stated and I think Tajh needs to understand for players to reap the full benefits of the opportunity they need to try less to grind out a win, and more to play successfully within the system.
As for the cons of last night I think there were very few, sure I think the Brawlers could have benefited from a bit more practice time, and the Mammoths certainly have a bit more talent, I think the Mammoths depth at QB wore down a Brawlers defense which I believe most those guys played every defensive snap all night. After looking over pictures posted by fans on twitter, and watching the stream on espn 3 it's tough to get a real good read on the attendance. While the stadium was far from full, or probably even half full the FXFL did not move everyone into one section but rather there we're maybe 4 or 5 sections of the stadium which we're at least half full. I'm not sure if the FXFL will release attendance though if they do my guess would be less than 2,000
Correction on attendance
About 3,000

Wow. They actually did it. Going with ESPN3 is a good idea, a lot less pressure to cover costs. It's better to have steady growth than a big splash and fail. Too bad the UFL were not smart enough to do that.
Time to move this section to the Active Leagues section!

League looked good. Names aren't great (but at least no Extreme, Rampage, Rage, etc - stick to animals and people with some local meaning) but the play was good. Wish they played in the Spring when there's nothing to watch but I guess that conflicts with the baseball stadiums.
