So... They went from six teams to four. They were two weeks late releasing their schedule. They were supposed to have a draft, but instead just allocated players to teams. They were supposed to have 40 players, now the Omaha coach says 38 players. And now there are rumblings the Florida team won't actually play any home games this year. Can they do ANYTHING they say they're going to do? I love how Woods still wants to point to the need for officials to be trained under NFL rules as a key reason he needs to exist. HA HA HA! Should we have a pool to pick the first day checks start bouncing?

Phil hit it right on the nail... Not to mention maybe 1 week of real practice before a game.... Their excuse is these are professional athletes so they know how to play the game.... HA... That's why the NFL has 4 weeks of preseason plus training camp and everything else rookies and veterans go through before regular season play begins...Also Phil also forgot to mention ticket prices. When the FXFL made claims first time around they said tickets would be $15. Brooklyn's tickets start at like $25 and go up to $100... that's a little off from $15 in the beginning.
We know they have money (roughly $2.8 Million).... how that is divided up though, remains to be seen. How much is Woods being paid? How much are executives being paid? Players are paid minimal for the 6-weeks of play... Weekday games will make a dismal crowd overall.
Bottom line though, it looks like some type of pro football will be played....how it ends up and the results is what all of us will be watching, critiquing, boasting, complaining, etc, etc. I can't wait to see/read reactions.

$2.8 million will not go as far as some seem to think.
Football is expensive, yo.

$2.8 million will not go as far as some seem to think. Football is expensive, yo. Actually, they only raised $2.504MM, which was barely half of what they wished to. And there really is no account of the Tommie Harris money or was his "expansion fee" part of that filing? Plus, that SEC filing came in the first week in July. They have been dripping money and using the that investment since. Drip...drip...drip. However, their filing of Form D did indicate that the search for capital was ongoing, not just a one time effort. I guess the terms of a FIU Stadium lease which I posted weeks ago is really impacting them. Duh!

None of this makes any sense.
Wall Street sure as s@hit ain't what it used to be, but how did Woods even get as little as an internship, himself?
I still think this whole thing is just cover for something else.

There's a reason we've seen so many of this fly-by-night leagues pop up this year, and I'm guessing this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EB-5_visa is the reason. It'd be a decent way to launder money (as nobody expects these leagues to succeed) so any losses could be quickly written off, while netting the "investors" a visa in the process.

Seems like a lot of hoops to jump through (and very public hoops) to pull some money laundering. I'm going to guess there are many - far less public and far more lucrative - ways to launder money.

Not really. An EB-5 allows the visa holder to not only buy property (commercial or residential) directly, but gives the holder almost the same rights as an American National right off the bat, including a fast track towards citizenship. linklinkGet it? Not saying that Woods' goal was to sell EB-5s, but that sure as s@hit was the A11's business model, and it strikes me as more than a coincidence that this low-level Wall Street guy jumps in less than a month after A11's "timeout". Chris Schuring was on to something.

Please, don't ask me "Get it?" with your frigging conspiracy theories as if you're the FBI.
The jury is still out as to whether or not Brian Woods could organize a field trip to the local library.
When your sleuthing involves more than Google and Wikipedia, let me know.

And I guess all those OTHER money-laundering operations are doing it wrong by not attaching their operations to a football league.
Because, really, there aren't any less public and more lucrative ways to launder money. Gotcha.
In other news, Florida's home games are no longer on the schedule and they are listed only as "Blacktips."
Looks like the way things are going, we'll be down to two teams playing intersquad games at a public park somewhere by November 1.
