According to the Personal Facebook Account of Shane, he has purchased the Chicago Bearcats organization. They will still be playing the 2014 season we are told but MAY be relocated to Michigan.
Facebook Post...
"Shane Gianino
Are you Ready for some football ? Today I am pleased to announce my acquisition of the Chicago Bearcats of the Rivals Professional Football League!
The plan is to turn this team into an outstanding product and be a championship team as well as Develop relationships in the community!
Go Bearcats! #Rivals2014 #RivalsNation Quentin Hines"
This is a big step forward for the Bearcats and provides them with more than enough funds needed to compete this season. Shane and his company also donated $10,000 to the Detroit Cougars on draft day.

I'm glad that the mess with the staff and ownership butting heads can now seemingly be put to rest with new ownership. That being said, I wonder how it will affect the new players and staff going forward, especially with the relocation. IMO it doesn't seem fair to any of the players who have had to move into the Chicago area, most likely signed leases, and gotten second jobs. Hopefully Steven Gianino doesn't totally screw these guys over, and can help pay for their changes and travel/moving accommodations.

This is starting to look to me like the SFL, Michigan version.

A southern division in a lwague this scale is the dumbest thing I have ever heard Well there is plans of expansion. Southern Division will start at 4 teams (much like this year) and apparently the "Northern" will add two more teams. Independent team owners will help make this possible. Quentin Hines is running the show this year, and doing EVERYTHING. If he wants to make this the "NFL Developmental League" expansion is crucial.

Actually playing all the games you announce helps too.

Actually playing all the games you announce helps too. Agreed, that problem seems to be fixed though Chicago (or now Michigan) will play their first game this weekend. We will see how that ends.
