While I don't think it will happen, would you like to see the CFL come back to the US? If Buffalo looses the Bills, should they put a CFL team there?

I'm not sure Buffalo will be a viable market for even a CFL team in the future. Widespread unemployment, rapid depopulation, and numerous regional competitors would give me pause. I think Willston ND or Boise ID would be better targets.

Gotta put them in cities where you can fit a regulation field if you can. Anchorage would be a good city, IMHO. The problem with the last U.S. expansion was it wasn't promoted well in the States. The Baltimore Stalions were the most successful American team, because their owner knew the game in Canada was different and hired as many players and personnel who knew that. The CFL should expand in Canada with a team in Eastern Canada for starters and maybe Quebec City as well.

( a ) The CFL has struggled to get expansion teams actually in Canada (except for twice now in Ottawa), much less in the US. ( b ) No, the problem wasn't the promotion, it was that Americans weren't interested in CFL football and they had crap owners in Shreveport and Las Vegas. Baltimore obviously did the best of the bunch, but it didn't take in other places. I think Birminghamans knew they had a team. ( c ) Anchorage? Where are they going to play in Anchorage, exactly? And Anchorage has fewer than 400,000 people in the metro area. They'd be smaller than any CFL metro area outside of Saskatoon.
