A quick search of the US trademark office shows the FXFL holding the Boston Brawlers, Brooklyn Bolts and Texas Outlaws names, in addition to Omaha and Florida. We'll see if anything comes of them. Well, 1- The "posted" on footballscoop for the assistant coaching staff, and said months ago that the salary pool for all coaches was approx. $110K. 2-The Florida jobs have yet to be given the same posting treatment and they have yet to name a head coach. 3-I seems that any/all interviews will be via phone if they even elect to interview candidates since days are running out. We are half way through August and one should have a coaching staff in place before final NFL cuts are made on September 1. 4-Omaha is still looking for host families; Florida has not mentioned them and neither even has a phone number to purchase season tickets. No number or website for tickets = No revenue. 5-Sites which they want to play are not as simple as signing a lease for your apartment or going down to your local rec center to hold a private pickup game. Governmental/Authority boards don't meet daily to discuss new business such as the contracts they wish to sign. They meet monthly or every two weeks at best.

Where would you play in Brooklyn, exactly?
Also, you're looking at eight weeks or so before they're supposed to kick off.
Good luck.

Well, the NFL has just expanded the Practice Squad to up to 10 players per team. So that takes away as many as 64 FXFL "eligible players".

According to their Twitter feed, Woods is doing an interview with someone at ESPN tomorrow. Either has to be a lot of details, or the old "We're delaying til next year" speech.

OK, one step forward, one step back. We know have a Brooklyn team, the Bolts. And to answer Phil's question, they are playing at MCU park on Coney Island. nypost.com/2014/08/19/brooklyn-team-in-the-fray-when-minor-league-football-kicks-off/However, the Austin team has now disappeared, which is odd, as seems they were the only team with an announced owner. By the way, this means the league now has only four teams, three of which will play in cites with NLF teams, (assuming you count the Jet and Giants as New York teams.)

Coney Island?
WHAT?
Okay, so it looks like four teams, which would (realistically) mean a six-game schedule. Let's say 50 players at the supposed $1,000 a game, that's $1.2M in player wages for the season.
You're right, though, that Austin supposedly had an owner.
And if practice squads are now 10 players, yes, that has skimmed 64 more potential players from the pool. (Worth noting that the UFL had very few players on its final-season rosters who had actually been in NFL training camps that summer.)
So the top 1,696 players will be active in the NFL, and 320 more will be on practice squads. That leaves about 672 guys from NFL camps who would potentially be targets for this league, but it's not that simple. Realistically, not all of those guys' agents will steer them to this league and they're likely to get truck drivers and guys who played for Ball State in 2011.
They're still up against it.

MCU Park apparently seats 7,500 for baseball. IF you sold every ticket in the place for all three home games at $15 per (remember, one of their selling points is affordability!), you'd generate $337,500. Or slightly more than the player wage bill for one game.
These people can't do math, can they?

Only one quote from Woods was posted, "We're full speed ahead right now." No comment from him or anything from Tommy Harris and Eric Bassey (of Austin) yet. Teams in NYC and BOS are solely to try to get the cuts from the Giants, Jets, Eagles, Patriots, and possibly Ravens/WAS. The South Florida team will try to do the same with the Dolphins, Bucs and possibly Jags in terms of getting a potential guy to drive to them. I don't know how they are getting sponsors and proving their worth in terms of how many people will see their advertising. Specifically for Boston, the Boston Breakers of the NWSL (women's soccer) also rents Harvard Stadium. Here is their pricing and seating chart. www.bostonbreakerssoccer.com/TICKETS/SINGLEGAMETIX/index_E.htmlThey averaged less than 2,500/game.

Maybe it's all the merch. they keeping telling us will be available. Wasn't that supposed to be up and running Aug 1? It costs $$$ to produce and inventory that, even if you have an account with a Net 30 agreement. If they plan to sell at the venue, then they may not get a cut. One is not going to be able to rent a practice field (or even a temporary local office) with "merch money". Please.
