Oh I could go on and on about complaints about Madden. But one big one is presentation. After 30 years in connected franchise Simms and Nantz still commentate...uh uh that's a problem. Players on the sidelines look like frozen statues. Fans do the same animations and all look the same. After most field goals kickers just stand around and wiggle their asses like their twerking watch this video and skip to the 32 second mark to see what I mean
Too many flaws for a game that's supposed to represent the National Football League.

That's what happens with monopolies. They know the threshold for any would be competition is so high, that they can get by with minimal effort and charge as much as the market will bear. Madden is still good, but who knows what kind of new gaming experiences we'd be seeing if they actually had to innovate to stay on top. EA just sucks.

Haven't bought a Madden game since 2005 - don't like where they went. I'd buy a football game that wasn't licensed by the NFL if it allowed for extensive tweaking and customizing of everything from league organization to teams to uniforms, etc. etc., like a football version of Out of the Park Baseball, only with better gameplay and maybe less detail.
Does that exist?

Is this board always so slow? Just wondering... Honestly? You joined a IBB with less than 100 members. You know IBBs are like gym memberships...many sign up few actually go in. So cut the number of posters by 50-60%. Then there really is little to no news regarding the proposed leagues. The A11FL is now going under a name to be determined and still is going nowhere fast. The FXFL is not really putting out their own news, and whatever comes out is intermittent. The USFL has a repersenative here and they post updates or reply when it is needed for them. Nobody really cares about indoor football (in all its names) and it shows in the box office.

Is this board always so slow? Just wondering... Yes, with the A11 killing off the comment sections (which was the biggest audience draw here) it slowed down. USFL page is slow and the newer or more regional leagues have a very small following to gain from. Sadly the biggest group I could attempt to draw here is the Indoor/Arena Leagues but any advertisements of the site get lost in their many many posts.

No offense intended, guess there's just not much to talk about, football-wise. And Bandit, I looked up Backbreaker and it's not available on PC, which is where I play my games (when I have time to play them). I poked around online and rediscovered Football Mogul, which I owned a long time ago. I believe it was FM 2004, which was ok, but mainly a GM simulator, if I recall correctly. I'd like a little more in-game simulation, too, though arcade action and graphics are optional. There are newer versions to be had cheap (under $10) on Amazon, but being a certified tightwad, I thought I'd ask here if anybody knows if they're any good. Here is FM 2008: www.amazon.com/Football-Mogul-08-PC/dp/B0011WIDKK/ref=pd_sim_sbs_sw_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=0MM6QPBGQJJSCQZQ336G...and FM 2007: www.amazon.com/Enlight-Software-40649-Mogul-200715/dp/B004WSJF8Y/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1405799581&sr=1-2&keywords=football+mogul...in case the covers still any memories.
